Great connecting with local readers and fellow authors at Woonsocket Harris Library's Author Day from 9 am to 3 pm. The newspaper article above shows a photo of me pridefully highlighting the illustration that replicates my grandmother's kitchen in her home that still stands in Providence today.

Family LiteracyNight
Great school-wide literacy event organized by Greystone School and Greystone PTA. Excitement echoed the halls as families, parents, teachers, and students celebrated literacy through stations. Wonderful to be part of this event and interact with students as they lean in to hear more stories & ask thoughtful questions as young writers!

Respect Day
Beyond empowered today after participating in NPHS' First Annual Respect Day. Students chose one of my books to #BookSnap, showing how children’s literature can help you embrace your own process so that the respect you have for yourself becomes the example by which you treat others. Great collaboration & teamwork today! Sharing high school student's creation with North Providence elementary students to pay literacy and respect forward!
